We have identified the customer who was the target of the attack and will be following up with them.

We've now established that this was a big inbound denial of service attack to a VM on that head. We're investigating further.

We can see that VMs on BigV head10 were unavailable briefly between 07:58 and 08:02 this morning.

Neither the VMs nor the underlying hardware show any signs of issue or rebooting and we are not seeing anything obvious in the logs - the VMs just appear to have been randomly unavailable to the outside world for a few minutes and then started working again.

We'll keep digging in to this to try and understand what happened.
