Performance problems & reboots while dealing with "Meltdown"

All of our Cloud Server "heads" have been patched for Meltdown and everything appears to be running fine now.

We've started the process of upgrading our servers to deal with the Meltdown vulnerability.

We're doing it through live migration of customer servers, which means your servers shouldn't be interrupted or reboot.

However we need to acknowledge two risks until this work is complete:

  1. some servers have been accidentally rebooted when a migration failed in an unusual way;
  2. some servers running on upgraded hardware may not perform as well, and there may be a temporary performance hit.

We are aiming to stabilise the situation by the end of the working day and return loads to normal, but please don't wait to raise a ticket if your servers are experiencing any unusual performance problems today.
