We've been given the all clear from our vendor on the Manchester to London path at approx 09:12, and the York to London path's maintenance window has now closed.

I've returned all peering sessions in London as we're now back to full resiliency. Our apologies for any inconvenience that this might have caused.

Our wave provider for the Manchester to London path have confirmed an unexpected outage due to hardware failure on their transmission equipment. They have a piece of spare hardware en route to resolve this, with no ETA as yet.

The York to London provider are still within their planned maintenance window, which finishes at 0800 UTC+0 (0900 BST).

As it stands, our London router isn't in a situation where it will cause issues as these links come back, so we'll re-visit this in the morning.

Our peering router in London has effectively been cut off from the rest of the network by a 'double-cut' scenario. This didn't cause too much disruption, as London represents a PoP site rather than a major core location.

We've raised a ticket with the provider that isn't meant to be breaking our connectivity today (the other one had a routine maintenance window scheduled) and hope to hear from them soon. In the mean time, you might notice that you see slightly higher latency from your ISP - some of them haven't established peering with us outside of London yet.
