The corrupted password hashes have been restored from the backup.

Whilst updating the LDAP server to use a more secure password hash a number of password hashes became corrupted due to an a bug in the update code. These hashes are being restored from last night's backup.
No passwords hashes have been leaked as a result of this incident.
