There doesn't appear to be any issue with the new router in situ, so we're resolving this now.

The new router is now in place and converged with the rest of the core in Manchester. This appears to have gone without a hitch, but - as above - please do let us know if you find anything awry in network connectivity through Manchester.

I'll be keeping an eye on the router for a few hours, and will resolve if all is well at that point.

A new core router will be connected to our core network in Manchester at 18:45 (UTC+1). There is no impact expected from this work, and the network will still have full link resiliency during this work.

No customer traffic will be flowing over the new router initially, but we will be working to phase-in new connectivity via this router over the next few days.

If you do notice anything untoward, please do let us know via the support-urgent@support.bytemark.co.uk email address.
