As expected, no issues were observed whilst turning-up the new Cogent transit. All routes seem to be available via this connection, so we're resolving this now.

Of course if you do spot anything astray, please do let us know.

Over the next few hours, we'll begin accepting IP (and IPv6) routes from a new transit provider in Manchester (Cogent). At present the routes are all loaded on to the router, but they're not yet currently being preferred.

Shortly we'll begin carefully introducing routes from the new provider into the regular 'mix', with a view to eventually deprecating one of our existing transit providers (Level3). Under regular situations, this should not cause any issues and there will be no impact to customers.

However, should you happen to notice any untoward reachability issues, please do contact support-urgent@support.bytemark.co.uk with as much detail as possible (ideally your public IP & traceroute/mtr to the affected host on our network).

If we don't see any issues, I'll update again when we have finished incorporating the news routes.
